Donald “D.K.” King was born January 9, 1948 to the late Chevis Sr. and Bertha Austin King of Liberty, SC. He attended Clearview High School and retired from the water maintenance department at the City of Pickens. He departed his earthly life on November 22, 2020.
Cherishing memories of him are his wife of 49 years, Reverend Mary E King of the home, one daughter Andrea of Easley; two sons: Kendrick (Mandy) of Central and Brian (Angel) of Dallas, TX; four grandsons: Kedrick, Braydon and Donavan of Easley and Caleb of Seneca ;two sisters: Lania Smith of Easley and Virginia Hansford of Washington DC; one brother Talford of Liberty; two sisters-in-law Johnie Mae Scott of Greenville and Joan Ashemore of Easley; two brothers-in-law Charles Ramsey(Marilyn) of Greenville, SC and Dusty Benson of Columbus, GA, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, best friend Roland Bell and close friend Angie Williams.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Carolyn Johnson, Brenda King, and Ella Mae Alexander and three brothers: Paul Ashemore, David King, and Chevis “Bootsie” King jr.
