On Thursday, December 18, 2014, an angel from heaven bore the soul of William Herman (Elmo) Anderson, 61, of 209 E. Main Street, Liberty, SC from Greenville Memorial Hospital.
William was born on June 20, 1953 to the late Herman and Allean Lula Reid Anderson. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1971. He was also a graduate of Massey Business Institute in Jacksonville, Florida and was employed by Duke Energy for twenty plus years.
He was a life-time member of Robinson Chapel United Methodist Church and served in many capacities. He especially enjoyed singing in the choirs. He previously served as President of the United Methodist Men and the Liberty’s All Male Chorus. William was co-founder of the Gospel Harmonizers and also a member of the Pickens County Mass Choir.
William leaves to cherish fond memories one daughter, Sharika Welborn; three granddaughters, Carrie, Savannah, Brooklyn Ariana; three grandsons: Zadarius, Zachary and William (AJ); five sisters: Emily, Marian, Carrie, Frankie and Pearl; two brothers: Spencer (Minnie) and Sammy, Charles and Olin preceded him in death; six nephews, three nieces, two grand-nephews, three grand-nieces, a loving cousin, Nell and extended family: Melvin, Tim, Cindy and Courtney and other loving cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at Robinson Chapel UMC with Interment in Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family is located at 209 E. Main Street and has selected the Luther Johnson Funeral Home,
